Reed Company, LLC
Reed Company, LLC (Reed) is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Triarco Industries, Inc. and is recognized as a quality manufacturer
of powder granulation. Reed was acquired in August 2000 based
on the industry’s need for powder granulation that would reliably
function when used in certain products. For ingredients that
require direct compression for tableting and densification for tablets
or capsules, Reed created a process which results in better flow characteristics
and less weight variation in machine production.
The Reed objective is to improve the reliability of your products, thus improving customer satisfaction and reducing production costs. Reed services include powder granulation, agglomerization, and pre-blending in an environmentally controlled facility.
Granulation is the process by which a non-compressible nutritional
powder is converted to a compressible granule. The process is a dry
granulation resulting in a compaction-densification excellent for tableting
and capsules. A series of different sized screens then
separates the particles according to each customer’s specification.
Agglomerization is the process by which particles are bound together
into other size aggregates. This is a wet process utilizing Glatt
machinery, resulting in desired particle size and flowability for better
tablets.
With over 26 years of experience, Reed has the skilled labor,
equipment and capacity to meet production demand.
