What You Should Know

Testosterone Deficiency

An estimated 2 to 4 million American men are deficient in testosterone, and the incidence of deficiency increase with age. In fact, experts estimate some 481,000 new cases are diagnosed each year in men aged 40 to 69.

Testosterone Deficiency Syndrome (TDS) is diagnosed when a man has a total testosterone (TT) level under 200 ng/mL. It causes symptoms such as:

Fatigue
Depression
Decreased Libido
Loss of motivation
Reduced muscle mass
Increased fat

TDS can increase your risk of:

Type II Diabetes
Cardiovascular disease
Low Bone Mineral Density/Osteoporosis
Infirtility
Mortality

If you have questions or concerns about your testosterone levels, please consult your health care provider.

DHT & Hair Loss

In some men, the increasing DHT (dihydrotestosterone) levels associated with aging can trigger hair loss. By the time a man has reached aged 40, he has an estimated 40 percent chance of experiencing male pattern baldness. This risk increases with age.

Hair loss can also be triggered by testosterone use and some testosterone products, since DHT levels typically increase when testosterone does (see Testosterone, Dihydrotestosterone and Estradiol: What’s the Conncection?). The body converts some testosterone into DHT with an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase.

Clinical study shows that MyTosterone decreases DHT by 20% at a dose of 800 mg/day dose.

If you have questions or concerns about your DHT levels, please consult your health care provider.
