How Did You Get Started in Bodybuilding?

"Five years ago, I weighed 105 lbs. and started training for sports (football, wrestling and lacrosse). During my first year, my Dad was asked by a large sports nutrition company to oversee and manage a national muscle building strength training program for teen athletes. I was then invited to participate. I gained 15 pounds over a six month period and that’s when I really got hooked on bodybuilding and when I actually began to use Aminogen."

Why Do You Love Bodybuilding?

"I like how it makes me feel and I enjoy the attention it brings. When I saw how people looked at my Dad, it only made me want to one day have people respect me."

What One Tip Would You Give To Other Bodybuilders?

"In bodybuilding you need more than one tip to succeed. Here is a tip that my Dad taught me: stay focused on one goal at a time. Bodybuilding is one of the hardest sports in the world. You have to eat, sleep, and breathe it. It’s not one you leave on a track or field or even at the gym. It’s a lifestyle 24/7. You can train hard 210% but that still is only two hours of your 24 hour day. The other 22 hours consist of diet, diet, more diet and then sleep.

Another tip, since diet/protein is the key to building muscle, is that you want to utilize as much (100%) of your intake as possible. That's why I use Aminogen daily--to get the very best out of my high protein intake. What I find most effective is when I use 1-1.5 grams of Aminogen powder per 100 grams of protein. Step up you Aminogen...and grow!"

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

1) "My Dad – What can I say, we are alike!"
2) "Darrem Charles – His physique is well rounded (size, shape and symmetry) and balanced. His posing is by far one of the best. I’ve seen Darrem pose many times at pro shows and his routines make the night event great."
3) "Jay Cutler – He’s just cool!"

"I want to congratulate Jay on his incredible win at the 2006 Olympia. It showed me and should show others that bodybuilding is a lifestyle and takes time, persistence and determination to breed success."

What is the difference between an aerobic exercise and an anaerobic exercise?

Aerobic exercise is a more constant and moderate intensity workout that uses up the body’s oxygen at a rate that can be easily replenished by the cardio respiratory system in the working muscles. This type of workout is also known as cardio, which would include biking or walking.

Anaerobic exercise is when oxygen is used up at a faster pace than the body is able to replenish inside of the working muscle.  The result is this; muscle fibers have to obtain their energy from stored substrates like Glycogen (carbohydrates), ATP (Adenosine Tri-Phosphate), and CP (Creatine Phosphate). This would be more of an intense workout, like a weight training session at the gym.
